HENRY OMAGA DIAZ

A graduate of BS Journalism from the Lyceum of the Philippines, Henry Omaga Diaz started his broadcasting career as a newswriter for Radio Veritas in 1981. And after 28 years in the industry, he remains to be one of the most respected broadcast journalists in the country today.

He joined DZMM in 1991 as Radyo Patrol reporter then became part of the ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs group in 1994 as TV news reporter. Because of his notable style of delivering news, Henry earned his well-deserved string of career breaks. He became part of TV Patrol from 2001 to 2003 and TV Patrol Weekend from 2004 to 2006. He also served as segment anchor of the top-rated news magazine program Magandang Gabi Bayan. From 2006 to present, he has been co-anchoring the late-night national newscast, Bandila alongside Ces Drilon.

At DZMM, Henry co-anchors the Weekly afternoon program, Pasada Sais Trenta Sabado alongside Niña Corpuz.

In 2006, Henry was awarded as one of the Ten Outstanding Media Personalities by the International Media Associates Inc.
