VIC JOSE
With more than 30 years of broadcasting experience, Vic Jose who is one of the original Radyo Patrol reporters, has proven that he is indeed a cut above the rest!
Vic or VJ to his loyal listeners started his career in 1964 wherein political turmoil was starting to be felt. He was still a college student then when his voice first hit the airwaves, and being a student, he carefully learned all the aspects of broadcasting and in no time perfected the art. According to him, by profession he is an economist; but in his heart he knew that he need to become a broadcaster. He wanted his fellowmen to be informed.
In 1983, VJ left the country and went to America where he spearheaded the expansion of a Filipino recording and movie company and also became part of an international magazine. But after more than a decade, his real calling led him back to the country. He said that he enjoyed his stay in America but he needed to go back to Manila. Here, according to him, he felt complete. He missed his microphone, Motorola radio, his AM radio receiver. He just missed his country. He wanted to know first hand what was happening to his people.
Upon return in December 2003, VJ was offered to do Pintig Balita, which he gladly accepted. The program first hit the airwaves on February 14, 2004. Responsible views, hard-hitting opinions, no holds-barred discussion, unquestionable credibility and heartfelt public service are the things that Pintig Balita offers from 1AM-2AM, Sundays. From social issues to political affairs, VJ tackles everything that the Filipino public wants to know and needs to know.
