VICTOR DE LEON-LIMA
Veteran broadcaster Victor de Leon Lima has been delivering news and information to the Filipino audience for almost three decades already. He is one media personality who can reliably chronicle recent Philippine history and share life-long lessons in local journalism.
Born in Manila on July 28, 1958, Vic started his broadcasting career in 1981 as researcher of National Media Production Center. He then transferred to Maharlika Broadcasting Corporation in 1984 as reporter.
It was in 1986 when ABS-CBN hired him as an anchor of TV News’ Balita Ngayon. From 1986 to 1990, he served as TV News reporter. He then joined DZMM in 1990 as DZMM Radyo Patrol reporter. He then anchored several newscasts including the early morning program, Gising Pilipinas. From 2000 to present, he co-anchors Pasada Sais Trenta alongside Karen Davila.
The best thing about being part of DZMM is the opportunity to cover events significant to the Filipinos. He covered big events such as the July 1990 earthquakes, coup d’etat, Mt. Pinatubo eruption, and the recent Cory Aquino funeral.
Vic spends his free time traveling out of town and abroad. He loves swimming and playing basketball.
