A B-C D-G H-K L-O P-Z

WILLIE NEPOMUCENO

Writing Willie Nep’s personal profile may turn out be very excruciating, for one may get lost because of his different “personas” on stage—past president, politician, action star, singing sensation, and the list goes on. But he can be described in two words—Master Entertainer.

At a very young age, he exhibited his talents through his school projects. His elementary and high school years served as his training ground in honing his talents in the arts. In 1971, he finished with a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Philippines. He then worked as a radio anchor for different stations, a columnist for print, and as a teacher at the Philippine Science High School. He also became a freelance entertainer and has achieved innumerable awards and recognitions for his work.

He has performed in almost all parts of the world, portraying the different personalities he can mimic. Willie’s talent in impersonating (not only the looks, but the voice and gestures of personalities as well) is still unrivaled by any other entertainer in the country.

Aside from hosting and appearing in different TV shows, Willie also has recorded five long-playing albums, and has appeared in commercial ads of different products and services.

For over a decade, Willie has been a board member of the Barasoain Kalinangan Foundation, a community theater based in Bulacan, which is one of the few surviving professional theater groups in the Philippines.
