Beauty, brains, and a whole lot more! These are what Jing Castañeda has to offer to her televiewers and listeners everytime she delivers her news reports and speaks her mind.
She is currently one of the senior reporters of ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs group and co-anchor to the Saturday edition of DZMM Radyo Patrol Balita with Glen Carlos. Apart from her regular stints, she also serves as news advisory anchor and pinch-hitter for various ABS-CBN and DZMM programs.
Prior her break as a reporter, Jing served as research-production coordinator for ABC News for ABC Network in New York, USA and as an executive assistant to the office of one of the senior vice presidents of ABS-CBN.
Jing’s school years revealed her remarkable pursuit of learning. She attended her elementary and high school studies at St. Theresa’s College, where she was recognized as an “Outstanding Student.” She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts from the Ateneo de Manila University from where she graduated with “Honorable Mention” and “Departmental Award for Communication Arts.” After that, she gained her master’s degree in Business Administration from Ateneo Graduate School of Business and finished as a Dean’s Lister. She also studied Broadcasting in New York University, USA.
